Why A Collaborative School?
The mission for Rockbridge Academy is to deliver a distinctively classical and unwaveringly Christian education to as many families as possible in our community. As the Lord continues to bless our school, the board is exploring multiple growth strategies to expand the impact of our mission. One such effort is to study the feasibility of offering a collaborative educational model in the uniquely classical tradition of Rockbridge Academy to the growing contingent of Christian homeschooling families in our community. Rockbridge Collaborative School will comprehensively cover all subjects, be built upon the proven curricular scope of Rockbridge Academy, train parents for their three-day a week teaching responsibilities at home, and provide the accountability to the State required of those teaching in the home.
Rockbridge Collaborative School will reside on its own campus location but remain a subsidiary of Rockbridge Academy. With sufficient interest and support, grammar school classes will begin as early as September 2025.
